29 July 7pm at Master Piper
Master Piper is proud to present a rare appearance by Cow-gal entertainer, Amoco Cadiz, hailing directly from the Wild West Midlands. Cadiz brought her eclectic country variety show to just about every Soho drinking club and Ladbroke Grove comedy lounges throughout the late 80's and early 90's, culminating in a sell out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Best known for belting out such hits as 'Elvis Isn't Dead, He's Just Singin' To The Angels", "Just As Long As You're Happy, That's The Reason That I Live" and "You Can't Get A Headache In Your Hand", Cadiz won both critical acclaim as well as an extremely dedicated and broad fan base. At the height of her popularity Cadiz appeared live on BBC TV Pebble Mill at One with Floella Benjamin and Rick Astley also Radio London and Capital FM, as well as hosting the Mean Fiddler Karaoke competition.
In 1990, Amoco auctioned off her pink furry hat at an AIDS charity do and hung up her spurs (well they used to play havoc with the shag pile anyway). Now, by special arrangement with her close friend and muse, print artist Helen Ingham, Amoco makes a long awaited return, for one night only to perform her classics hits and hilarious routine to her hungry public. Do not miss this rare opportunity.
