Boo Sze Yang’s practice looks at British culture from the perspective of a ‘tourist’ looking in from the commonwealth country of Singapore. Working from iconic ‘tourist’ photographs and postcards, his paintings explore a diversity of painterly mark making, which it could be said, undermine the cultural significance of the chosen subject.
